my journey with yoga...
And the story continues...
I’ve been teaching yoga full-time for over 4 years, working across a mix of wellness studios and private members’ clubs in London, which includes Hotpod Yoga, MoreYoga, Strong & Bendy, Shoreditch House and The Ned to name some, offering public as well as private group classes plus one-to-one lessons. From Ashtanga to Jivamukti, Yin to Yoga Nidra, my personal experiences in these different styles of yoga have become a well of inspiration to draw upon for my teaching. Through emphasis on linking movement and breath, my classes aim to synchronise qualities of strength with qualities of stretch, to bring an overall toning plus sense of awakening to the body and mind. In Summer 2021, I completed a Diploma in Yoga Therapy, a 22-month training with YogaCampus, focused on the nurturing and restorative elements of the discipline; the aim is to broaden my skills and cultivate a more therapeutic application of yoga that can be shared with a diverse and wider audience.

Alongside yoga, I'm also interested and maintains a personal practice of different mindbody movement disciplines. A desire to expand my teaching repertoire made me pursue a Foundation Matwork training in the *Garuda Method with its creator, James D'Silva.
*Encompassing the principles of Pilates, the breathwork and asana practices of yoga, the grace and athleticism of dance, Garuda Method is a hybrid movement system that's holistic, organic and dynamic. Created by James D'Silva, a certified Pilates Method Alliance member with an established reputation boasting of high profile clients such as Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow and Trudie Styler, this training is also recognised by the Pilates Method Alliance.
